My name is Reza Afshar, and I’m the founder of Wake Up. As a Christian, I am deeply passionate about helping people in extreme poverty.
Over the past five years, I’ve distributed tens of thousands of Bibles, organised large-scale food missions, built four small schools, and helped hundreds of people escape debt slavery. Now, I’m excited to embark on a new challenge.
I’ve surrounded myself with a dynamic team that shares the same passion for helping both individuals and entire communities. Our team has the skills, connections, and agreements in place, including strong partnerships with the government, to make any project happen quickly and effectively.

At Wake Up, we are committed to alleviating extreme poverty. We don’t just offer information—we provide immediate, tangible support. Whether it’s delivering food, supplying fresh water, funding education, or covering the cost of life-saving medical treatment, we are there when it matters most.
Food
Providing Essential Support to Struggling Families We deliver large, tailored food parcels weighing up to 30kg to families in ongoing hardship, ensuring they have enough to meet their basic needs.
Water
Bringing Clean Water to Schools and Communities We drill fresh water wells in areas where school children lack access to clean drinking water. Each well costs between $2,000 and $3,000 to install, providing safe water for hundreds of children and their communities for generations.
Education
Providing Opportunities for a Brighter Future We cover school fees for children who otherwise wouldn’t have access to education, giving them the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

Delivering Critical Health Services to the Most Vulnerable. Funding life-saving operations and essential medications. Organising doctor and nurse visits to remote villages, ensuring healthcare reaches those in the most isolated areas. Our vision is to help as many people as possible who are suffering from extreme poverty. Whether through health, food, education, or building fresh water wells, we aim to provide the support they need while giving our YouTube viewers a transparent view of what’s happening on the ground week to week

Bible Missions
We organise Bible outreach events every month, offering a call to salvation and providing free Bibles to anyone who requests one. Distributing the KJV Word of God, printed in the local language, is a top priority for us. Each quality Bible costs around $5.13, and with our team of nine pastors, we can give out as many as 1,300 Bibles each month.
If you would like to sponsor someone receiving a Bible, we ensure that it will be placed directly into their hands, with the moment captured and shared on YouTube. Monthly support would greatly help us expand this mission and bring the Word of God to even more people.
